.
Thanks for the help everyone! I don't have a hobbycraft near me but I should be able to get it from there online. Any tips on the suede?
The stuff I have been using has a little bit of one way stretch in it

I've just got my first sewing machine and pm'd ghilie because I can't wait to make a poppet. I think I'm going to make Link from the Legend of Zelda, which I'm super excited about.

I'm making a Link poppet right now, too! He's angry because he's still naked . . .

I finished the hair on the one I've been working on. I feel like I've been stitching hair for forever. Though I think I may have figured out a better way to do it than stitching each row on by hand. I plan to test this on my next poppet. But if it works it will be similar to a wig only you'd only have to hand sew around the edges.
I have to do her dress next. off to look for the right pattern. I'm feeling like crocheting it....

I hope you will share this hair method. I have the most trouble with hair. I don't know why.

I will after I test it to see if it works! Smiley If it does I plan to post a tut. Can you weft the hair? Make the strips on the machine to stitch to the Head? I've been meaning to take pictures to shoe how I do that too....

I make a wig base for the hair like a hat that I crochet and then I sort of latch hook it to the hat wig and then my poppet has hair. I prefer this to wefting. I just cant seem to get it to do what I want it to.
