lovesclutter- I don't know if you realize but rotary cutter blades do wear out with use.
If you want a good mat for it though I've heard very good things about self healing mats.
.

I hardly ever used the thing, it never cut right. I don't know if it expires. They gave me the receipt too with the store number. I'll call them in the am.
How long have you had it? If not to long then I'd call the company that made it and complain. Sounds like a bad defect to me.

If it's been awhile then I'd say go for a new one. My two cents is  the larger blade size is better so I'd go for the bigger sized one if I were you. I have a smaller 3" blade and I find while it's nice it's too short sometimes.

Yes, it is a 3" blade. I didn't use it alot because I was disappointed, it cost
$10, which is a lot to me, but I have great fabric scissors. I am terrible about cutting straight lines and following patterns.

I've just completed my mini poppet swap so I am going to do another, and lucky me, she wants a wow poppet, which is what I made for aqua, she hasn't posted yet in the gallery, and ghilie is waiting to get some action shots with the babies I sent there, so pm me if you want sneak peaks.

I want to get better, and the only thing it seems I am getting better with is boobies. Go figure. LOL

I made my first wig cap crocheted, a little big, but I was proud of aquas.

As for alova, I will go into the store and see, I asked the clerk the last time I was there and he had no idea what it was. My joann's is a good distance from me.  Our sales tax is 9.25%.

I got a $50 Joann gift card for house sitting, and cannot find 'alova' online. If you had $50 and a 40% off one item coupon, what would you buy?

YARN.  Lots of YARN.

I found that my joanns had some alova up front near the silks and such. Also check the clearance rack that is where almost all of them are hiding right now.
When I asked the staff at joanns they looked dumbfounded the first time. Then when I went the second time the girl knew what I was talking about. So it just depends on who you are talking to.
