Eliea, I noticed that too, the ecofelt. I just commented about it in the Fun With Felt swap. I wasn't sure if that's the felt that they are selling on bolts though. I really noticed it a lot when crafting for this swap that I had two completely different types of felt, one which was thick and pill-y and the other which was crisper to cut and not really pilling as much. They have since phased out the old kind of felt sheets.

The only thing about the ecofelt is that it's considerably thinner.
How sad that you can't get the sheets. I still have the plain ones in eco felt at my wal*mart. but they only have very basic primary colors. Hobby lobby and the other craft stores still have not only basic colors but everything in between.
I was mad though when wal*mart dropped my purple felt. I bought that stuff all the time.

I have seen a good tan felt at my Hancock's, and I'm pretty sure you could order it online from fabric.com or some other place as well. Felt on the bolt is used for a lot of things, dance costumes, cheerleading skirts for little bitty girls etc, so usually a decent fabric store will have a good array of colors.
I don't have eco felt available much here, but as for the sheets, I don't see why you couldn't use sheets to make your poppet. After all, the sheets are the same size as standard paper..which is what the pattern is printed on. You'd just need like 10 of them or something Smiley

I know, and not to be a whiny whinerson but my craft stores have been letting me down lately. I was desperate to find a pink flesh toned felt and after 3 weeks of waiting I could only find ONE SHEET! Luckily I could make what I need from that. Finding 10 sheets of one color would be virtually impossible at the moment.

But I'm definitely going to try and make a mini one out of felt and regular buttons. That's next on the agenda.

That blows! Have you looked in to buying it online? Even if you've got to buy in bulk, it isn't like you wouldn't use it

Total sense. With felt, I stuff it tight, but not so tight that it looks lumpy. I can still squoze it a bit, but the limbs will stand up on their own. Help any?

jup thankyou !!
I am finished my arms (only got trouble with the legs)
so now I am trying to joint ...
but I just don't get it ...
in the tutorial I am at point 3, (so pulling it through the skank button and than make a granny knot to secure it)
but I don't get point 4: Thread all floss ends through the eye of the needle. there should be 8 strands through there...
After making the granny knot, I have 4 strands on 1 side, and 4 on the other with the needles attached to it.
So do I un-attach needle from the strans? and than put them all through the needle again? or how?

You don't unattach them, you put the 4 end pieces through the eye of the needle TOO, then pull through the body.

BTW, what IS a 'granny knot', LOL!

Yes, and that's fine. It'll make sense once you've got them through the poppet, trust me
