Long time no see Sammywoo!!  She's a cutie pink poppet!

amigurl55- Those pants are cute. You could try just making the waist a bit wider when you cut the next pair out.
I like that fabric, tho!

Well, the reason I didn't use the front was because I wasn't real sure how to go about sewing the fly.  I really want to do an elastic waist.

Here are the pants.  I'm stretching out the waistband.  As you can see, they turned out fine except the waist is just a little small.  I'm OK with scrapping these and starting over- it was just scrap fabric.

Ah! I see.
Ok baiscally it's exactly like you did that seam that goes down the back of the pants. There are Optional peices that you can use to make the fly if you want "real" looking pants. but it's totally optional. Just trace the big peice that looks almost the same ans the back peice and you're set.

Also I agree with clonedbravo to make sure the next pair fits here's what you need to do. First measure around the widest part of your poppets hips.
Divide that number by 4.
Measure the short "waist" edge on the pattern peices. Is there a difference?
If so you'll know how much you need to add to make it wide enough. I typically add on the straightest edge of the pants.
Don't forget seam allowances! I typically add 1/4 inch seam allowance to all my pieces. Smiley
Hope that helps!

Also if you scrap the current pair I'd set them aside. You never know they may fit a future poppet pr future swap partners poppet. Smiley

OMG! Don't scrap those pants they're awesome! Eliea's right, I'm sure they'd probably fit a mini poppet.

Sammywoo88, wow it really has been a long time. Love the pinkness and those eyes, I've never seen any like that before.

Hi guys,

Didn't get the jersey in the end... found some sort-of almost suede-like stuff on Ebay.

I'm working on a poppet with it, but she's turning out kinda...

Well...

Any suggestions?  Main post with story about it is here...

how interesting the fabric stretched! I've never seen that before. I'd make her shoes but make them sort of like the poppet mary janes that others have made. Make them a tad big and "sculpt" them with a contrast thread like say the shoes are black or grey for hooves and you sculpt them with white or lighter colored thread.
you could do gloves in a similar manner. Or make her new "hands" and simply cut off the current ones and hand stitch the cloven version on.
I think she's looking cute and sheepy and that a pair of horns would help. Smiley Also a slightly larger nose might be good. Embroider, paint, or stitch some felt on. Oh a collar with a bell would be cute too!

Poppet shoe pattern here (I made this specifically for poppets): http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=228560.310

Here's my fire demon poppet.  I'm not sure if I like how she turned out.

I like the idea of cutting off the hands and adding more sheepy ones.  The mary janes might work too... I can't crochet or knit AT ALL... is there a sewn version, at all?

Then again... I could use a basic boot pattern...

Hmmm...

I love the fire poppet, but I have to ask, are those lashes secure? I would hate for one of them to fall off or anything. Those eyes and that dress are amazing though.

The boots that Eliea developed are on the front page of the thread.

Thanks, everyone.  The lashes are an "eyelash" yarn.  They're glued on pretty well.
