Another vote for banning real lives that interfere with crafting.

Poppets are certainly easier to deal with than real life, or parenting for that matter Undecided.  They let you dress them in whatever you want.  Very few messes to clean up, listen to everything they are told, and sit quietly for the most part.  Then you have life which seems unmanagable in that once you get things organized, they start to unravel again.  However, I would never trade my ds who is a character and a half for all the clean house and private time in the world.  But if anyone needs to borrow him, he is good at reprogramming computer settings, cleans windows and tvs, and is curious about anything you are involved in!  Cheesy I Love him so much, just wish there was a FREEZE button!

Back to Poppets Grin... does anyone know where to find a long sleeve robe pattern?

There's a long sleeve robe pattern in the set that I made up. I'm assuming you mean poppet size. Pm me with your e-mail and I'll send you the set.

I pulled a UFO out of my closet yesterday to finish it. It was a renaissance top for me and it was so weird to sew on it again! Everything seemed so HUGE! Then I realized I've been making poppet clothes for so long that anything people sized just feels weird!

The poppet addiction really affects life in so many ways Wink

No kidding!  Cheesy I didn't even eat breakfast this morning because I was involved in making a teeny head and then my ride for work showed up! I might try to sneak in some sewing time tonight after family pizza night and time with hubby  Grin

A quick question about poppet construction. I tried searching, but 600+ pages is a lot!

Can you use regular suede for poppets? I was in Joann a couple days back, and they had alova suede but not in the color I wanted. I found some suede in the upholstery section, but it had hardly any stretch at all.  Huh

Don't use suede for the poppets. It's so hard to sew, and you just won't get the same effect. I tried ultra suede just for some clothes and accents, and it's a bugger to sew through, and if this is your first poppet, you're going to get so frustrated!
You can buy Alova online, or you can use robe velour. What color were you looking for. Some of us will swap supplies so that you can get what you want. I found a bunch of shirts that I'm cutting up that are made of a woven suede like material. Not as yummy as the alova suede because it has a little more stretch, but I may have the color that you want.
pm me.

I might actually complete another poppet this weekend!  I've had this one in pieces for over a week.  She might actually get some clothes and hair if I can manage to ignore all my other responsibilities  Wink
