So can't wait to show off the poppet i have planned from elenore's pattern.  XD
I can't wait to see all of the new well endowed poppets.
I was looking at my supplies/tools today and noticing that my doll making needles are all bent! This is quite an athletic project!
ACK! I just burnt my muffins! All because I was too engrossed in Craftster!  Cheesy

I have a new poppet I will be showing today. She's naked now, but by the end of the day will have a new wardrobe.

ETA* Picture

I was worried about painting a mouth on her, because she just looked so perfect before it, but Now that its' done I'm glad I took the risk. The little girl she's going to never stops talking! I can't give her a doll without a mouth!

for those of you who have poppet feet dissappearing into your machine, I start at the middle of the foot, on the centre seam, and sew outwards one way, creating one and a half toes, and then clip the threads and start again from the centre seam, going the other way, to make the other one and a half toes. a little time comsuming, but it stops many of my stupid mistakes  Grin even if it's unpractical!

lordy, craftewoman, how fast can you go?! you only just posted your last poppet!

Cheesy I can make a poppet in about 4 1/2 hours. The clothes take longer, if I'm making a wardrobe. So...about two days for a doll. I just got the invitation for the little girl's party on Monday. The party is on Sunday. So, I gotta boogy!
I'm a stay at home mom, so I get to pick what I'm going to do with my day.
I did get the laundry done and the house cleaned up this week. The only thing nagging at me are a dirty kitchen floor, and I need to make bread. We're on the last loaf. I'm really ambitious, always have been! Poppeting is my play.
Oh, and I don't watch much TV. If I am, I'm crafting something at the same time.
Thanks for the compliments. I think she turned out really cute too. I wired the ears for poseability.

I like to sew them up at night, while the lil guy is asleep, and stuff and joint the next day!
Makes watching tv feel almost productive!

since I work 9-4 four weekdays out of the week I have to sew and things in my free time after work, pay attention to the hubby, and some how manage to keep the kitty boxes clean and the ferret cage.
I typically do a lot while watching T.V.

Woo hoo I found a sewing machine belt and it actually fits!!!!  Grin Now I can finish Teeny and post her. I won't get to work on her until the morning before work, but I'm so excited!!!!
I do most of my crafting in the morning before work. I'm only a seasonal worker so all fall and winter I get to craft away every day!! I miss it terribly in the spring and summer when I have to work!
