angielou1- if you have a Hancock fabrics they have a fabric called butter suede that is in the apparel section. It's the closest thing to alova I've found. I think you can get it online too.

Just because I just did them myself....back stitch the entirety of your fingers (i made 4 hands and split seams to easily) and leave yourself plenty of extra room as you can  past your seam to cut the fingers apart (i sewed on my freezer paper rather than next to it) and for turning...something tiny...I used a sturdy paintbrush till I broke it (ha ha) then I used a pair of glasses screwdrivers with a hotglue ball tip (to protect fabric from pointyness of screwdriver)  worked pretty good for me

I have a hard time with tiny things on my sewing machine too, feed dogs like to swallow anything to small XD I've started freezer papering everything undernearth so the feeddogs cant eat my fabric anymore....takes a little extra effort keeping the baby away from the iron but it seems worth it thus far

I love your Elf & Monkey "Tenitsu"!!   Cheesy

I also love your Cupcake dolls "angielou1"!! Cheesy

I don't know if this will help with the fingers & I'm not by any means a expert. I sew in between the fingers at least 2 stitches & cut as close as I can. It usualy works. It was in 1 of my books & I use a cuticle pusher (wood one) & hemostat sometimes, also the one that comes in the stuffing bag or what ever works! I have 3 different sizes of turners, they help a lot. I have a hard time with tiny things too.
