I thought I would, but I didn't at all! It may have been partly because I used the longest fur they had. I also overlapped the edges just a tiny bit.

I did my hair by cutting the fur into strips and hand sewing them down. It seemed a good way to keep it from getting a weird shape Smiley

I'd love to try fur on a poppet!  when you use strips, do you have any problem with the seams blending? I haven't had very much experience with fur.

sometimes the edges get a little wonky with fur, but i use the HECK out of some fray check on the edges when i make toys with fur mohawks.

I need to find some long fur..I only have the standard stuff you find at the local fabric store..not the fun good stuff.  I need to try this..such possibilities!!

There are some fake/fun fur sellers on etsy that will sell sample swatches of the super long hair. I ordered some when a bought a pattern called Lil Bedheads so I could check the colors and length of the fur. Most of the pieces are big enough for a poppet or that adorable new one..Cupcake. I think the swatches were $1 each after the first 3 were free

The first one I have bought from, the second looks interesting. Love the fray check idea, guess I was born outside the barn!! HEHE
