Love that boy! I am wondering about the shaping for his hair, any tips? I've got some dark brown fun fur that I was considering, thinking about how to do it and kind of stumped a bit. I figured I'd pin, snip and stitch as I went along unless there is a better way...
I've got all the parts stuffed and stitched closed, eyes in the head, yarn hair wefts ready for the girl. I used doll beads in the limbs and bum, I think I way overstuffed the legs though, it sure was hard to stitch through the knees and hips! She's so cute already, oh man. I cut out a bunch of outfits from tshirts, no patterns, just free hand. Fingers crossed they all work out, I only have a couple of days to get this done on time, yikes!

The hair was a last minute addition.  I made a bjd wig a few years ago but I don't use that one anymore.  I never did, really, but waste not, want  not.  The wig was too big so I ended up folding it in and gluing it down.  I think the best way to make a wig for the cupcake doll is two half circles in the same shape as the top of the head but bigger and sew them together .  Then pinch and glue or handstitch.

I did my hair by cutting the fur into strips and hand sewing them down. It seemed a good way to keep it from getting a weird shape Smiley

I'd love to try fur on a poppet!  when you use strips, do you have any problem with the seams blending? I haven't had very much experience with fur.
