Punkin looks like how I've modified the poppet pattern in the past, only a lot simpler, which me likey!

Thank you Clonedbravo Cheesy

I know I can enlarge the original pattern, but I want something that will resemble more of a baby, so maybe I should just cut the pieces of fabric in the opposite direction, so it will appear chubbier, and shorten the torso a bit. I will work on it once I find out the sex of the baby  Cheesy

you could also change the legs to be more bent. That would be more baby-ish. And maybe add some "chunk" to the curves.
I think Someone made some baby poppets. (atsuko maybe?) And if you pm'd them or got that pattern just enlarged the head from it. The head and face were more baby than the regualr poppet.
Yes, I thought of that, so last night I searched for a newborn doll pattern and found this:

http://community.livejournal.com/doingwithout/41229.html

So, I am going to use the arms and legs from that pattern, maybe the torso even, but definitely a human poppet head, because I prefer the poppet head Smiley

I had PM'd her awhile back but got no response  Undecided

Oh wow that pattern is great. I just printed it out. I agree though the poppet head is more my style. I won't say better becasue I don't thin others who love that style would agree. lol But The arms and legs are perfect!

um, hi!
I was looking at a poppet, and i noticed, that especially the Elenore, reminds me of this, which gave me an idea that some of you could joint it like this, to make a flexi-poppet.

Wow, I don't think I could sew all those pieces.  Intriguing though!

In the night, I had a idea strike me for modifying Punkin.  Right now it is sitting in pieces waiting joints and possibly clothing.  I need to modify more for the look I imagined, but he is engaging none-the-less.  Hoping to show him off on the morrow.  Cheesy

I have a new question of the day up on my blog if anyone would like to help me with my homework.  http://ghilie.wordpress.com/2010/07/23/question-of-the-day-4/

Have you ever used craft to subvert a traditional value you didn't agree with?

Here is what I modified the punkin pattern into.  Odd choice possibly, but fun

His nose needs to be a little more bulbous I think, but I like him.
