Basically You cut 4 pieces of fabric in the shape of your pattern.

Now you will lay them together in pairs. Then sew side "B" of each pair. Then pin the pants from the curved side, and side "A". You can sew from the top of the curved side down side "A" to the bottom.
Then Hem "A" By turning it up on the inside where the seams are. Then for the top (Hem "B").
Cut a piece of elastic about 1/2 inch to a full inch shorter than your dolls waist measurement. Sew said elastic into a "O". Place elastic over top of paints (Hem "B") the fabric will bunch. this is ok. Fold Hem B over the elastic and stitch that down.
Turn pants right side out and WHA LA PANTS! Smiley

Just wanted to add this is craftewomans photo I just drew on it to make it easier to describe the process. Some people do the hems differently than I do this is just easiest for me.

Thank you both so much! It finally clicked and I get it. From the tut you linked, I got stuck at the "sewing around the "U" shape" for the crotch area. Finally I can dress my poor poppet. She says thank you as well Smiley

Hi!  I'm think I'm going to join this craft-along.  And I actually decided I have to read all 1115 pages of this!  Grin   I'm at 346-ish.  I have a long way to go yet!  But it's worth it, because I have found so many hints on how to do hair, find supplies, clothes for the poppets, ect!  I'm reading at an average of 90 pages a day.   Cheesy  (How do I find the time?)

LOL, I did the same thing, and it took me about 2 weeks, but they were only at  around 925 or so when I started. Good luck and happy reading.

All-righty!  I've read all morning and got to page 500!  I might have time in the evening to read some more!  I'm getting a headache because I've been reading nonstop and my computer is going to totally die on me by the time I finish but that's definitely okay!   Roll Eyes
