I think I will be taking a bit of a break after this last lot of poppets are done. They are all gifts for friends and family.
1 is done, just needs hair and clothes
3 and sewn up and waiting for stuffing
1 is cut out and waiting to be sewn up

They are so cute and simple to make but I need to make some summer clothes for the family.

I take breaks from poppeting to do other crafts, but always seem to come back to them for swaps and such. I enjoy having the breaks and then making one. Feels so new and fun each time that way. I also don't get burned out doing it like that. I always keep up with this thread though.  Wink

I have the same issue. I'm actually wishing I wasn't still in a swap so I could join a different one and make a poppet. But I will have to wait till after the holidays. I've promised to make this my last swap for awhile but have to finish up some commitments first. I lost the keys to our car and the repair costs I'm helping pay with my swap money. So my stash is going to have to do for a few months. lol
Luckily I have a massive stash! Sometimes that can be good.
I think my last one was Lydia the poppet. And I really loved her once I got her together. I hate the stuffing process though.

Anyone have a poppet t-shirt pattern?  Craftewoman's peasant top pattern works great for the girl poppets, but I'd like one that could be for a boy.  Also, I'm looking for a hoodie pattern.  And I want to make a jacket or long sleeved shirt.  I tried craftewoman's oxford shirt, but I can't get the sleeves to fit over the paws; even after I altered the pattern.  Soooo.... if anyone could help me out with any of these, that would be awesome!

Amigurl- you can try digitalmisfit for the t-shirt pattern/tutorial. She sent one to me a while back. I PM'ed her to ask if I can post it but no reply  Sad If she doesn't get back to you I'll send it. Try SilverWing for the hoodie, she made an awesome zippered one for me in the Rd. 3 poppet swap. It looks so professional. Ghilie has also made a hoodie. I forget what pattern she used but it was way cute.

Sera, I don't think Digital would mind if you just posted the T-shirt. We came up with that pattern together. It works like a charm!

I got an AMAZING package of poppet supplies from Eliea today!

FOUR different fabrics (light blue, dark blue, seafoam, and cream) and two skeins of yarn

(On the blue fabric just so its easier to see) Two different sizes of eyes, lashes, felt, doll-jointing needles, thimble, latch hook, safety pins, pipe cleaners, and joints

Eeee! I was completely freaking out when I saw everything! Thank you SO much Eliea! Cheesy

unto poppeting now :p

I've got a question, where do you get your eyelashes?
I found a pair in a shop but they were 7 (~ 10$) and that's a bit to much to just cut up...

Some people have found them at dollar stores, I think. I don't know if you have something equivalent where you're located. I used to buy them at the drug store ($4 per pair)...found them with the cosmetics. Recently, I purchased 12 really nice pairs on eBay (from the seller vast_exchange) for $10 + shipping. They also have 4-pair-packs for $4 + shipping (they do ship internationally...1 2-pack for $10, and $6 for the 4-pack).
