I like making smaller art pieces. Smaller pieces present many opportunities for experimentation, stash-busting, and trying out new stamps or other tools in your craft rooms. I've made some index cards, altered rolodex cards, altered playing cards and tags for swaps and just because.

I thought it would be fun to have a meeting place for other small-format artists. I am in the Art Journal-along and I plan to join in daisy yellow's ICAD 2014 (June 1 - July 31). See her blog at http:daisyyellow.squares pace.com for more info.

We can work together on themes (or not) and teach each other techniques. I'll save a spot for links from other craftster-er's work (already posted) and links to blogs or tutorials to get you started.

This will not be a place for ATCs and inchies, as they already live over on the Paper Crafts boards.

I'm intrigued, but one a day??? Maybe one a week? Sounds like a great way to experiment.

I agree, one a day is too fussy. I tend to make them in batches. The four pieces in the photo are just backgrounds and then I finished them in stages last night. And it's something to do while waiting for other projects to dry. It forces me to get in the habit of using up paint and ink. I just need to keep a stack of cards nearby.

I have all these old paperbags with paint all over them from drop cloths on my counter, and lots of mono prints from playing with my gel plate. And I always need cards to send with packages or for holidays.

I can see doing lots of ICAD's or APC's and then turning them into greeting cards as needed would be fun. I have a hard time doing things just for doing them, or just for myself. I need a deadline or a need (other than me). I think you have at least one craft alonger!

Here is my June 1st ICAD:

Of course I still have to post a photo of the finished ones from the 4 backgrounds pictured and I started a few more for this week. Join in the fun!
