This is likely to be a non-picture gallery posting, with an explanation.

Today I received 3 packages from this swap:

From k8kre8s , I received a vinyl record notebook!  It's really cool, she squared the top and bottom edges as well as the left side, and used the rings that are hinged, so i can add more paper.  I love it love it love it, and can think of a certain 16 year old who's going to be massively jealous!

from hdcase, I received 3 skeins of woolease chunky weight wool in a cream color, as well as a sewn yarn sock (picture a drawstring tied tube-sock, big enough to hold 2 of the skeins at one time) - this way i can work on a project and keep the yarn clean - and THEN, this really sweet (and fairly large) pincushion which has a place with my blocking board, since i'm always losing my little box of pins!

Last, but certainly not least, from sunspotted I received a book that I really wanted, "Wrapped in Comfort".  If you haven't looked at this one yet, and like the lacey knitted shawls, this book is amazing - there are something like 15 or 16 shawl patterns, and they're just my style.  I'm glad i've been stashing lace and fingering weight wool, because now i have projects galore!  hardest part is going to be picking which one to make first!

Now, about the pictures.  I'm having a little trouble - it appears that I've damaged my rotator cuff, which makes my dominant arm much less than functional, much of the time.  just to keep things interesting, I had an arthrogram yesterday, and I'm apparently allergic to the dye they injected to diagnose the shoulder.

just my luck.

So Kate, and Holly - if you took pictures, and want to post them, please do - I don't mean to be rude by not posting pictures, but i sorta kinda need 2 functional arms to do this stuff - even typing takes a while right now...  and the book... well, ok, if you go on Amazon, it's there - and if i can, it'll be in my library on ravelry soon as i mosey on over there.....  and then i'm going to take more benadryl and try to not scratch.

thanks ladies.... it's been a cruddy couple of days, so this really brightened up my week!

I recently got two wonderful packages from K8kr8s and Purpleone, I'm really so so happy with both. I don't see where to copy and paste links from Flickr now. Either they've changed it or I'm crazy ( it's probably the latter, I have that right, right? The second one is the latter and the first the former? ). If someone has any advice on uploading pictures here from Flickr please PM me, I have the pictures up there already and just need to post them on Craftster.

Thank you both again. I'll get the pictures up as soon as I sort out how.

when you upload your picture to flickr, right click on the picture, and choose properties (the last item in that grey list)

it'll bring up a box with the properties, including the URL of the picture.  highlight and copy that URL, then come to the gallery and paste it in.

then add the img tags to the beginning and end of the URL.
