I claim CrossStichinMomma for cable knitting kit.  This is my 1st claim.  0 sent / 0 received.

I am a 24-year-old grad student.  Im studying Library Science and Ill be done in May.  Woo-hoo!  I live in Akron, Ohio in a small apartment with a roommate who is thankfully tolerant of my Mess o Crafts in the corner of our living room (and often strewn around the rest of the house as well).

I love earthy colors and scents.  My style is very eclectic and Bohemian.  Check my wists for more of my preferences.  I knit, stencil and woodburn mostly, but I also work on pretty much anything I take a fancy to.  I dont sew though so anything sewn is also welcome.  I am very open so I tried to give a lot of room for creativity in my list with my specifics in my wists.  If you make something that you think Id find cool, then go for it.

The List.
- Anything from my wists: http://www.wists.com/yarn_tart
 - A messenger bag with pockets.
- A notebook with a decorated cover
- Decorations for the apartment
- Nature or travel themed artwork or photography for the walls
- Tabletop organizer for crafts / misc. junk
- A needle roll
- Kits: soap-making, polymer clay, macram, candle-making, resin casting
- Theme-in-a-box
- Decorated (stenciled, embroidered, whatever) t-shirts with nature or abstract designs
- Book of medieval woodcut patterns
- Tampon carry case
- Pins for my guitar bag
- Handspun / dyed yarn
- Undyed wool
- A shrug with wide sleeves
- Embroidered hand towels
- Unique jewelry earrings and necklaces mostly
- Anything made from recycled materials
- This ones out there, but if you live in Switzerland, Paprika Triangles from Migros.  Or anywhere in Europe: Fanta in fun flavors that we dont have in the States
- A hoodie with a cool design
- PJ pants or shorts
- Design books (the kind with black and white line drawings)
- Homemade candles
- Tablecloth in a vintage fabric
- Knitted socks
- Things to woodburn (boxes, plaques, wooden knitting needles, pens or paintbrushes)

PM me for specifics / sizes.

I claim yarn_tart for Unique jewelry. This is my 1st claim this round and I'm in the UK Smiley

Wishes:

-I have one of these 'V' shape neck pillows http://www.medisave.co.uk/images/1234.gif (each 'arm' is 30" long) but the cover it came with is horrible polyester. A cotton jersey cover would be lovely.

-A t shirt with "Riots not Diets" screenprinted on the front (or done in iron-on letters) Any dark colour, women's fit sz S/M (US sz8)

-Binding to edge a queen size quilt, (my current project on the go!) wide width in brown or navy.

-The springs that you sew in sunglasses cases to make them pop open and shut

-Glass etching paste

-A flexi curve ruler thingy (http://www.sews.com/notions/1026356l.jpg)

-Lazer scissors

-Straps (long handles) for bag-making

-Iron on interfacing

-A sewing pattern for fabric bowls

-Gorilla Glue pen

-Inkjet printable things:
magnet sheets
shrinky dinks
printable fabric

-Supplies related to my fav animals - seals, eels, snakes, bats, bears.

Hello I'm Bea, I live in England with my folks and our two rescue cats. I dropped out of education because of my health so have a crummy job but *one day*, I hope, will be a writer. I do afternoons at my local primary school helping children to read. I love travel (usually through documentaries though, hardly ever the real thing!), as well as reading, baking, sewing and quilting, tinkering with jewelry and making cards. Old fashioned things like lace, pearl, vintage leather and wood have a special place in my heart and I love earthy colours. I'm not a fashionable person but treasure unique things that aren't what other people are wearing. I love seals, snakes, eels, bats, bears, cotton and linen, green, grey, neutrals, blue, brown, cable-knit, space saving/storage devices, black flowers.

Dislikes: Bright/neon colours, itchy fibres, sequins, flashy jewellery, silky/shiny fabrics, polyester, plastic

You can also check my wists (link in signature) Smiley
Thank you to anyone that picks me!

I'm Jana, I'm in Los Angeles. This is my 3rd claim, 0 sent, 0 recieved.

-Anything from my ever growing wists list.
http://www.wists.com/simplyfussfree

- Huge wish I'm giving my boyfriend an oud for Christmas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oud It really needs a new case ( heavy cloth or wood ). I'll be honest, I have no idea how one would construct a case for this thing. I looked for instructions and just found: http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=4971 If anyone wanted to actually make this ( I'm not counting on it ) I'd pay for shipping or ideally you'd be in Ca. and I could pick it up ( US only as I imagine it would be terribly heavy ) and... would probably propose to you.

-Another big wish Handmade brown bear for my mom for one of her Christmas gifts

-This in dark brown, I'm so in love with it: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6573745

-Another big wish Something crafted of one of the following themes for my boyfriend ( ideas: a guitar strap, a shirt, a sweatband, he oddly wants a decorated lampshade, a small oil or acrylic painting or anything else really ). I told him someone ( Calluna ) crafted something for my sister and he got jealous. Also, he's visiting from England so it would be really lovely if he got a pkg. when here. :
chemistry
ecology
Zelda
survival type stuff ( like in the wild or whatever )
Lord of the Rings ( not the film )
chess ( a handmade board of some sort? )
Lone Wolf adventure books
running
guitar
Super Mario
oud ( old Middle Eastern instrument )

-A handbound journal with a nature theme Yay!

-Crafted item on one of the follwing themes. I prefer realistic looking things to more kiddie-ish. Anything with corduroy is always good. Green and brown are always good too. Bags are always lovely, handmade books, shirts, small paintings made by you, are great. As are other things:
Russia
Nesting dolls ( more traditional than childish preferred )
Romania
Poland
A free Palestine
Ferns
The Forest
Trees
Hieronymus Bosch ( I can't spell for beans )

crochet:

-I would love, love, love a lined granny square purse like this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6902891. Navy and white

sewing:

-I love this bag. I'd especially love it if I could choose out fabric and mail it to you.  http://henriettashandbags.com/black_forest_purse_pattern.html Yay!

-A solid black wrap dress ( size 12 ). Or one in an apple fabric that I have and could send you. I have a wonderful dress from Alwaysinmyroom but am starting to wear dresses and skirts more and could always use more.

-A brown corderoy bag, preferrably fairly large as I carry loads of stuff most of the time

knitting:

-black, navy, or white gloves.

-black, white, or navy mittens http://vintagestitchorama.blogspot.com/2006/08/frankenmitts_19.html i really, really want these.

-The eyelet skirt from Knitty on my Wists. I wanted to put it here as it wouldn't let me add any information. I'd like it in green, navy, or black. I'm a M/L or size 12.

-http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall02/PATTbroadstreet.html In black or white please. I can't tell if it has one but if not, if you add a little button to hold them back when I'm letting my fingers be all free and whatnot, I will be your bestest friend...or something.

-The last socks on this page:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=135934.0

-A black cardigan ( slightly long ), I'm not counting on this one but it's a wish list so I thought I'd list it. Or an avacado-ey green one. I think there's one on my Wists.

-Lined Isabeau tote in navy or black

To anyone who chooses to craft for me, thanks loads in advance!

About me: My name is Jana, I'm 27 years old. I just got back from travelling around the Middle East for a bit and am now back in school ( studying anthropology ). I like greens <3 ( foresty/avacado-y ), and browns. I like corduroy and patchwork. I'm in love travelling and am obsessed with Romania, Russia, and Poland. I like forest themed things, Hansel and Gretal, things with trees on them, birds, ferns, bikes, and nesting dolls, Heronymus Bosch. My favorite bands are the Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Portishead, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys, and loads more. My boyfriend lives in England so I travel there a lot. I don't like: metallics, fun fur, yarn with a sheen ( like simplysoft ), when people clip their nails around me, and when people clap at the end of movies.

-Template plastic with gridlines.

-Fabric with owls on (not too girly/childish) I only need a fat quarter

another big wish - the pants from Burda Pattern number 8316 - they're a pair of pants that I love - view A (long, not crops) in the smallest size (and we can talk about sizing) (I can provide pattern and fabric, I just need someone who's a better sewer than I to actually make 'em)

I love this corset top - can even send the fabric for it!
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=127920.msg1283107#msg1283107

http://www.shukronline.com/wt3601.html

If anyone loves to sew, I love this skirt!  would love a soft drapey sort of fabric

  • soap making supplies - coconut oil, a soap making box mold
  • Size 4 circular needles that are 40" long <-- Leah loves me!
  • chunky weight wool - it's not like thick n quick, and it's not  like regular wool - it's somewhere in between, with a gauge of about 3-4 st. / 1 inch on about #8-10 needles...  anyway, in white, dark blue, forest green, deep purple, chocolate brown, something like that?
  • felting wool - i have a couple of projects that need felting wool, especially greens, purples, reds, both worsted weight and bulky weight - it can be undyed, and i can dye it myself

  • Wrapped in Comfort: Knitted Lace Shawls

DIY kits:
  • drop spindle spinning
  • body butter

something inspired by my wist  http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea

and if i stall out the swap, someone yell at me, and i'll add more stuff.

... right... about me.  I'm the REALLY old lady in the crowd (even older since my last b'day, but i haven't hit 50 yet!), the one peering over the bifocals.  I have 2 teenagers, 1 of whom lives at home, and my day job is a computer programmer.  I have no allergies, no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels.  We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

i claim Dulcinea for a vinyl record notebook.

this is my 2nd claim.

"about me"
i'm 29-year-old counsellor who *just finished my master's--woot woot!*, hence the return to swaps, and i live in vancouver, canada.  colours i like are greens (esp. limey or olivey), pink, turquoise, most blues, chocolate brown. colour combos i like: light blue or turquoise/chocolate brown, pink/olive green, eggplant purple/olive green, lilac/burgundy. i like coloured stuff and i rarely wear black.  im kind of a hippie and like nature themed images like deer, birds, trees, owls, flowers. i also like powerlines, typewriter letters, cruiser bikes, airstream campers, and a-frame cabins.  i dig camping, road-tripping, photography, crafting...   please pm me or check out my wist if you need prompting.

my list:
** = my top picks

1. crocheted or sewn animal hat/hood for kids dress-up. here are examples, but any animal would be great: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=207505.msg2218551;topicseen - msg2218551
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=154614.msg1538578 - msg1538578
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=207711.msg2221162;topicseen - msg2221162

2. an embroidered or screenprinted t-shirt (size sm, but preferrably the longer, more girly style) with one of my favorite designs on it, maybe on the bottom corner?-- see ideas above.

3. ** measuring tape fabric. black & white or coloured.

4. knit leg warmers (not too thick yarn and with/without tiny cables) in tan, olive, light blue, or pink. i kind of have scrawny chicken legs. i got one pair from javede and i wear them constantly!

5. for my play therapy collection: plastic/rubber figurines, like those basic ones from the dollar store that are pretty indestructible. i need people of different races and jobs (doctor, nurse, police, etc.), super heroes, monsters, dogs, cats, fish, horses, sharks, whales, etc. pm me to check if you like.

6. a long-sleeved bolero like this in green, purple, brown, or tan http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=95488.msg902872;topicseen#msg902872

7. circular vest like this
http://www.geocities.com/julsey723/circular_shrug.pdf

8. a hand towel (light blue, pink, or grass green) with small embroidery or fabric applique (on one corner or across the bottom?). the thin cheap ones are fine, just pre-shrink first please.

9. a flipside style hat with a little front bill (i have a big head tho' so pm me for measurements) http://www.flipsidehats.com/

10. big wish: a pretty long sleeved sweater like this in a single colour http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94352.msg892124#msg892124

11. pj pants in 100% cotton. in a funky print, plain light blue or brown or pink, or like any fabric on my wists. size small-ish.

12. ** i would LOVE a top in JOODITO's style (i know, that's a lot to ask) http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=200010.msg2125339;topicseen - msg2125339

13. this cardigan is GORGEOUS, but i'd need it in non-itchy/acrylic or something. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=155549.msg1549743;topicseen - msg1549743

14. this scarf/shrug combo is VERY cute! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=94728.msg934490#msg934490

15. sweater boots, size  7 in brown, green, blue, or turquoise. see wists for link.

16. ** a photo screen-printed animal pillow in the salvor style. i like the owls, small birds, or bunny. i can stuff it if you like so the postage is cheaper. http://www.velocityartanddesign.com/salvor_fauna.html

19. ** an odessa hat in light blue just like the photo. i'd love it looser so it don't squish ma hayr. and you don't need to add the pearls if it's too fiddly. http://www.magknits.com/feb06/patterns/odessa.htm

20. a scoodie (scarf + hood) in my favorite colours http://indietutes.blogspot.com/2007/09/scoodie.html

I claim k8kre8s for   1. crocheted or sewn animal hat/hood for kids dress-up. here are examples, but any animal would be great:

I'm in Canada and this is my first claim, 0 received, 0 sent.  I haven't done this in awhile, so I need to go cook up a list.  BRB.

Crafted Goodness

* Wind chimes - something silvery or blue or both and tinkly.
* 14 inch pillow covers - black and white fabrics please, two if you're feeling ambitious.
* Chequebook cover - something brightly coloured I can easily find in the bottom of my bag.
* Hook roll or zippered pouch for all my tiny thread hooks.
* Needlebook.  I can't believe I don't have one.
* Sewing machine cover - something funky.  PM me for dimensions.
* Project journal - like a swap journal but for stuff I keep and/or give away to people in person and not just on the internets.  Smiley

Stuff To Craft With

* Soy wax.
* Knitting needles, secondhand is fine, I have only a few.
* White cotton yarn (ala Sugar n Cream or Peaches n Cream or whathaveyou).  I need about 4 balls please.
* Fabric markers - any colours.
* Wrecked or unwanted CDs or DVDs for the imaginary light sculpture in my head.
* Piano sheet music.  Any style, any level.
* Crochet afghan patterns.  I have an addiction.
* Embroidery floss, hooks, things to embroider on.  I have a billion patterns.  What to do with them, I do not yet know.

Random Stuff

* Recipes for your favourite sweet things.  No cake mix or processed crap please, I'm a baking snob.   Wink
* Cat toys.  I have got to keep them from scratching up the new house somehow.
* Polymer clay and directions how to use it, particularly for crochet hook handles.
* A 2008 calendar - crafted, bought, whatever.  I haven't known the date in two years, it's time to rejoin reality.
* My very new wist www.wists.com/sunspotted

About Me

I don't have many posts yet, so this will be on the longish side for better swap stalking possibilities.

Hi, Im Allison, a 30-whatever year this is (7??) year old hermit from the wilds of Ontario.  Seriously, I have more deer and bears visit than people, and Im okay with that.  I have two large dogs and three cats that think they are dogs.  These days my primary craft is crochet, though in winter I get the kiln going (sometimes just for extra heat) and play with ceramics.  Ive been known to make a quilt.  I dabble in stained glass and mosaic.  Knit badly, sew badly, embroider in theory.  My woodworking shop is bigger than my house, but Ive gotten away from that lately.  Speaking of that house, Im building a new one and its driving me crazy.    I have trouble remember to take pictures of FOs, but  I finally have a digital camera, its around here somewhere.  I have the attention span of a gnat.

I love nature and animals (except when theyre eating my garden or ripping open the garbage bin), music and books.  I love the idea of babies (which is why Im a fantastic baby shower guest) but would sooner chew off my own arm than have one.  I dont have a favourite colour, though I do believe that yellow is best used sparingly and bright turquoise is a tool of the devil.  I refuse to acknowledge the existence of neons.  I hate to wear socks but would like to learn to knit them.  Im allergic to most metal and dont wear jewelry.  I don't have a sweet tooth but I'm addicted to coffee and potato chips.  I never use a sentence when I can use an entire paragraph.  Also, Im only marginally computer literate but Im working on it.

Thanks in advance to whoever claims me.  Give a holler if I stall things.

Learn German Kit!
The boy and I are taking a German class in the evenings and I wont name names but one of us is having a little trouble. I think that hearing spoken German really helps a lot. I was even thinking maybe some really basic kids books in German. Dick and Jane or See Spot Run style. Maybe a kids DVD or even just packages of candy with German words on them. Bribery with candy always seems to go over well. Ill take anything that might help us along.

A full length retro style apron. I love 50s style anything!
Whenever I cook I get gunk ALL OVER MYSELF!

Any on Wishing Fish are waay cute!

Bath Stuff
I have this bath salt that totally unclogs my stuffy nose! Its filled with all that good stuff like Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Peppermint. If you can make similar soap, lotion, bath bombs etc etc I would appreciate it. The stuff I currently have is called Barefoot Venus Therapeutic Mustard Bath.

Cocoa butter, Shea butter some essential oils that would go well with rose. Maybe cinnamon! Essentially the goods to craft me some massage bars.

About Me:

Hi, Im B! Im 21 years young and I live in Alberta, Canada. I love to sew and I am currently working on my entrance portfolio for Fashion Design in Fall 2008.

This past summer I bought a bicycle and I cannot seem to get off the thing for dear life. Hey name is Lilly and she is a purple and pearlized white Specialized Dolce Elite. I bet no one knows what this means but I just had to babble about my new favourite pastime besides sewing. If you are also into bikes and have a good idea for a seat bag or a handle bar bag in matching pearlescent white vinyl by all means grab it as a wish!

I have a sensitive little nose so if you smoke please Febreeze, I am also allergic to most perfumes and cant handle strong cleaner type smells. Think lemon, orange etc etc.

My style is fairly minimal and I am trying to reign in my taste for terrible tacky items. I love glitter and gold and sequins more than possibly imaginable. I am trying to take my love of mismatch to a more refined place of mixing unexpected prints etc etc. That being said I am the kind of girl who doesnt even wear makeup. I role out of bed and brush my hair (sometimes). My favourite colours and themes reflect that. I love earth tones and rich colours. Green is my favourite followed closely by purple, brown and amber. I also adore elephants! REALLY. Trees and leaves and birds and anything natur-y are good themes too. When it is warm out I am constantly outside getting myself dirty and when it is cold out I'm a home-body who spends a lot of time crafting and cooking and reading.

As for dislikes I am not a fan of any brand names, pastels, and while I love Disney movies I feel that the characters are better left to children.

I tried to make this long and all encompassing since I havent posted very much and I dont have much on my wists.
