I made everything here except for two things: the baby carrier itself, which i did not feel comfortable making myself, as my baby's safety is my number one priority. However, I did make the skin that went over the baby carrier Smiley I also didn't make the tracksuit... i hope that doesn't disqualify me!

Here we are, The Monarch Butterfly and the Twig She Landed On:

The skin by itself:

Us together in full costume:

Teeny tiny antannae for my little bug, hand crocheted by me:

Overexposed side view:

i don't know if I should be in the child's or adults' contest, since technically, we are a tandem costume, but since my baby is 5 months old and those bracelets aren't going to fit her for another at least 5 years, i was wondering if i could enter the adult costume contest?

What a unique idea! I like how you adapted to the carrier.  Very creative, and the butterfly wings are so pretty!

Great idea. I carried my baby on my back, and people were making papoose comments. Aw! Should have been an Indian! We went as a ghost (me) and a rose fairy (baby). She would have been a lot more comfortable in something like yours. Lovely work.

This is very original, and practical. The colors are so pretty the antennae are too cute.  Smiley
