Welcome to Craftster!  Your chalk bags are adorable.  I've had my boring one for five years, maybe it's time I make a monster bag too.  This is a very creative idea.  Great job!

A bit, but not much once the seams shed all they were going to.  Actually getting stuff stuck in the fur is more of a pain than anything else...
