I made this for my BOFF cause she likes to knit me stuff. It's her favorite thing to do, actually. So I figured she might as well be stylin' while she's knitting. She I picked out the fabrics, and don't they look so awesome together?

It's your typical needle roll. I didn't really follow a pattern. There are three rows of pockets, each row has 11 pockets, varying in width from 1 inch, to... I think 4 inches (for scissors and circular needles, I think). It's pretty much a quick project unless you decide you need to make your own bias tape and/or get distracted. Roll Eyes Oh, but how pretty! The ribbon is not super shiny. It was just playin'.

I don't have a lot of needles/hooks, so use your imagination:

Then you fold the flap down:

And roll it up!:

Sweeeet!

Lovely fabric choices.  the colors go well together.  Looks like it has batting between the layers, giving it a quilted look. This is the nicest needle roll I have seen.  Nice job.

Thank you guys! I hope she loves it.  Smiley So she'll knit me more stuff.

It does have a very thin layer of batting between the layers. It makes it really soft. I flip flopped a few times about using it but I'm glad I did!

If you can't find thin batting, fleece will do the trick as well.

I've never seen a multi-level needle roll before.  Everything is fab about this one -- the fabric selection, the batting (which adds nice body), the pocket sizes.  Great job!

Very very pretty. I too love the fabrics.

I love the needle rolls. I made a crochet hook and a sewing accessory roll. Still need to make the knitting needle one.

That is soooo frickin' adorable. I love the colors so much. I made a needle roll, and it was sad. This makes me want to dig thru my fabric stash and make some more.(That aren't sad)

Uhh...that's not a typical needle roll!  You got all fancy on that one!  Mine has 1 row of pockets that are horribly sewn  Cry   But wow, your fabric choices are delicious!!  I always think blue with blue, pink with pink, I never think to mix 'n' match.  This is the best needle roll I've ever seen.

Also, what is BOFF?

Thank you all!

The fabrics I used for this roll:

Urban Chiks for Moda, Summer in the City (birdies) & Dandy Damask, Passion from Michael Miller.

Someday when I get all good at crocheting I'm going to make myself one in Jolly Roger fabric. Until then all my hooks go in a Wal-Mart bag.  Grin

Beautiful choice of fabrics!  I love it.  I've got to make one of these.  I can't knit or crochet very well but a girl needs a place to put her needles, right?!

This has got to be the absolute best needle/hook roll I have seen yet!  I love it!  I have been using a roll I made 15 or so years ago (very quickly and without much thought put into it) and really need a new one... I just may have to join the craft along and make myself a new pretty!  What a beautiful piece to use as inspiration

Thank you for sharing!!

Very cool! I love the fabrics together! And your stitches are perfect, as always Smiley
I'd been wondering what kind of thing to make for all my Gramma's knitting needles and such...she puts all of hers into plastic shopping bags when she travels and they poke out all over the place Cheesy Would you mind too much if I put this on my "make for Christmas" list?
