I've never done this before, but my good friend, Sarah, is making the best birthday present ever for her boyfriend, Kenny (also a dear friend of mine).

She sent out some scrapbooking materials and requested that we each make a page for a book.  This is my page.  Tomorrow I'm going to help my husband with his page, then we'll send them off to her.  She's going to put all the pages together and present it to Kenny on his birthday.  The script at the top right is about my favorite memories of him.

Thoughts?

I finally used your friends idea (it was such a great one!) I got all of one of my friend's friends to make a scrapbook page for him for his birthday! We did around 20 pages in one week! phew! What an intense week! (Especially that it was all at our place!) Everybody thought it was a great idea and I think our friend liked his gift very much!

It was really fun because each page reflected the maker's personality and his/her special relationship with our friend.

Here's my page. I'm a student in library science and I made a list of "concepts" that reminded me of him, as though I was doing a search in a database. The following layout is what inspired me.

And just for fun, this is the "title page" one of us worked on. I especially like the carebears! ("Album de l'amiti" is French for "Friendship album", it's very cheesy, but we wanted it that way!  Wink )

Thanks again for the idea, and thanks for looking!
