I've been really interested in tsumami kanzashi and for the last few months have done nothing but make them, lots of trial and error Smiley

I'm pretty pleased with the results though  Grin

I'm guessing everyone probably knows by now, but just in case you don't
these hair clips are known as, tsumami kanzashi,
tsumami: "pinching of fabric" and kanzashi meaning "hair ornament" Smiley
if you guys want to give it a go, check out this awesome tutorial

http:www.tourism.metro.t okyo.jp/english/tra/goods04.html

I'm definitely in love with the whole process
good luck making your own!

These are really beautiful, the larger ones are like soft sculpture.

Do you glue the pieces onto a backing or sew them together? I have made some of my own which I am quite proud of but I sew the petals together and would like some tips from others who make these lovely little flowers.

Many thanks, Eve.

wow thanks for all the nice comments!
*goes red*

I do you glue the pieces onto a backing.  I've never tried sewing, but I'd be interested in giving sewing a go too, I've seen some great results from sewing the petals together Smiley
