I'm proud of my cupcakes I made for my daughter's class!  They were very quick to make!

Edit:

I've had a couple questions on how I made these, so I thought I'd give a step by step.

I used a box cake mix and canned frosting (I'm so lazy!) and a bag of M&M's.

I used two decorating bags and filled one with chocolate frosting and the other with white frosting.  I used a flat tip on both bags.

First, I made a stripe of chocolate down the middle of each cupcake.

Then, I put on the M&M's--M side down-- honestly I thought this was the hardest part because I have rather fumbly fingers.

Next, I switched the tip of the chocolate frosting to a small dot tip and made the pupils of the eyes on each M & M.

Lastly, I used the white frosting bags to made stripes back and forth across the cupcake, the sloppier the better.  Honestly, this was easier and faster than frosting the cupcakes with a knife.

You should definitely make them for your fair--if you have a decorating bag, you can whip these in no time flat.

Oh, those are cool!  Is there chocolate frosting behind the eyes, or is that straight cake?

My sister was going to make those for her son's kindergarten class, but the teacher asked her not to since she hadn't signed up for it ahead of time.  Roll Eyes Anyway, they are super-adorable! I love the m&m eyes!

Thank you so much for the nice comments!

I just got back from the class party-- they were a hit and they are gone!!!  I'm glad I took a picture!

The dark behind the eyes is a stripe of chocolate frosting.

The best part about these is that the more wobbly your stripes, the better it looks.

No, I didn't see this!  But, it is one of those things that I'm sure has been around awhile.

I got my idea when I saw some mummy pizzas made with olives and mozzarella cheese.

I edited the first post to describe step by step how I made them since I gotten a couple questions about it.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone, you've made my day!

Happy Halloween!!

These are amazing! Frosting is always the hardest part for me (I have fumbly fingers too and rarely make it even or smooth), but your instructions sound so simple: I think I can! My friend and I were looking for a project tonight while we pass out candy to trick or treaters. I think this is it! Thanks for the idea! This rocks!

I made these for my office. They Loved Them! they were so easy to make. i didnt have a big flat head for my icing bag, so it took a while to get the mummy linens to look good. But they were totally fun.
