I got this idea from the Make Magazine blog. They had a link to an Instructable for a very fancy version using battery-powered LED rope lights and a large plastic wash basin bolted to a skateboard helmet. (http://www.instructables.com/id/Halloween-LED-Jellyfish-Costume/)

I went the lo-cal route, with a bunch of glowstick bracelets (eBay!) and a dollar-store plastic bowl. Here my son almost holds still enough to get a good photo.

I used plenty of clear tape to hold it all together, and I also used some strong packing tape to attach a circle of elastic at the front and back. That way I could stretch the elastic out and lower it onto my head, and the elastic would hold it more or less steady. It turned out really well.

Thanks for looking!

HA! You're cracking me up!

The best part of this costume is how cheap it is. I got 100 of those glowstick things for $7 plus $4 shipping ("what? $4 shipping from an eBay seller? madness!"), plus $1 for the bowl, plus tape I had, plus elastic I had. And I only used maybe 20 total glowsticks for the costume. You could do it with friends and go as a whole smack of jellyfish. (Really -- a group of jellyfish is called a "smack.")
