Those go together, right???
I had two birthday babies, turning 1, in my life just recently so I put these together for them.

I liked how they turned out. The kimono was a trial, and after I tried it on my own baby and he ripped it off in two seconds, I realized I should add snaps inside! LOL

The t-shirt was easy to sew, but I hadn't done the reverse appliqu that I added to it and the pants before so that was a challenge, but fun and easier than I anticipated.

these are itty bitty, size 12 mths...they look tiny, even though that's the size my baby wears....LOL!

I bought it from another crafty mom, so I'm not sure where is really came from.
It's an Alexander Henry print though, and it's called......ummmmm,
oh yeah Oasabi/Kimono Kids, I think! It's cool, though, huh?? I love it!

They are both super cute! I love the kimono fabric.

Did you use a serger for the t-shirt? I haven't mastered sleeves yet, but that cute shirt makes me want to try.

Go for it! It was pretty easy and raglan sleeves are the easiest IMO. Whenever I make a shirt pattern I always do raglan..LOL

I don't have a serger. I have a second-hand Janome I got off craigslist for $60. I love it!
JS1008...it's not even CLOSE to being the best one they make, but it does tricot stitch and stretch stitch (for sewing knits) and button holes. Smiley And, of course, regular zigzag.

For the inside of knit shirts, I finish all the seams by pinking, except the cuffs and and neck band, which I finish by trimming close then sewing with a tight zigzag. Knits don't unravel so the reason you're finishing the seams is so they will lie flat.
