I am very excited to have finally come up with my own pattern.  I found this hat the other day and loved it but not the price.  So after many pages of notes and frogging, this is what I came up with. 





I used Bernat Alpaca Natural Blends in cream and brown.  Next time I think I would make the hat a little longer (it is really short in the back) and use a lighter color for the top of the hat.  With the brown color, the cables just don't show up well.

adorable!  I like.  The ear flaps look nice.. sometimes ear flaps look funny on hats, but yours is perfect.

You did a good job imitating the pattern! I like the dark yarn you've used much better than the milky coffee that they've used on the top of the hat.
