I made a mitten, but I can't make up my mind about it.

a) The yarn is obnoxious - which I have to admit I kind of like.

b) I'm not sure about the gray tips. Yes/no, and should the top start a little lower?

c) It's just a little bit small, so I'm probably going to make two new ones, not just a left to match, which is why I'm trying to decide about the gray.

What do you think?

I like the obnoxious yarn. Grin I also like the gray tips, but agree that they should start a little lower.

Another vote for the obnoxious yarn Cheesy I think it looks cool  Grin And I too, agree that the grey should probably start earlier/lower.

The gray points on the mittens reminds me of the toes and heel of socks...

so, you could say it has "sox appeal"!   Grin Roll Eyes

I adore the obnoxious yarn, but I'm not too sure about the grey. I think it's a bit too stark a contrast. I would probably pick a solid colour from the 'obnoxious yarn' and do the tips that way. And I agree with the rest, the solid should probably start lower - maybe around the knuckles?

I love the yarn! I think it would look good with the main color yarn all the way.

I'm going to have so many matching right-hand gloves...

Attempt number two. Better, but still a little bit small - I switched to smaller needles to make the weave denser and warmer, and tried to adjust the sizing accordingly, but it's just a little short. Bah.

Maybe I'll make one to match and make friends with someone with small hands.

That's the same yarn, I promise - it has given many different performances depending on needles and items.

(The little cat says MMM MITTINS FOR TO PET ME.)
