i totally love the patch, it looks awesome . . .and i must definately try my hand at this bleach pen thingy, except my handwriting will never be as cool as carpejugulum's . . .   Smiley
however, i'm also super excited to hear other people have chinnies on this site . . .*horrible high-pitched squeal* i love my little my little furry butts . . .except that they love to chew up my leather cuffs  Angry. . . .

From my experience (and the directions on the Bleach Pen), you should let the bleach dry first and then sorta scrape it off. It flakes off really easily. I think if you tried to rinse with water, the water would make the bleach spread and cause everything to become bleachified.

If you find that your fabric is bleaching very quickly (different fabrics react differently) and/or you are looking for less color removal, you can stop the bleaching process by dunking your fabric in a solution of one part white vinegar to two parts water. The vinegar neutralizes the bleach and then you can rinse everything out.

There is a lot of fun to be had with reverse dyeing. You never know quite how the colors will turn out, especially with black. (Some black dyes have red undertones, some are blue, once in a while you get green.) You can also overdye with other colors after you've done the bleaching part.
