I kind of felt that way about the Colour of Magic and Equal Rites.  Maybe it's just that the "first" books have more background.  Though, admittedly, I didn't have that problem with Mort, probably because I'd already liked Death from the summoning scene in The Light Fantastic (by far, my favorite Rincewind book).

I love your package vegbee! Though I'm suspecting your letter would actually be from Captain Carrot or Lt. Littlebottom, rather than from the chief Monitorship himself.

Perhaps vegbee could provide a photo of the letter and you could see that although the body of the letter is in neat thick writing the signature is in think scratchy ink. Implying that the writer of the letter was not the person who signed it 
Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the letter before I sent it off.

Can't help but think Vimes would have an almost illegible scrawl.  I wonder if that's something from the books, or my own assessment of Vimes (probably based on my own "signature").     Nice touch with the letter, though.

You know what book I simply can not read again?  That Maurice one.  It freaked me right out.  I'm in my 30s (gasp) and I have no idea how kids are supposed to read it!

The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents is the full title.  Read it, it is good (after all, The Man himself wrote it).  But it was distrubing.  It was the full caps of the voice that did it for me.  Honestly, gave me nightmares.

I got word from phantomssiren that she had received, so I am taking the liberty of posting.
In a souvenir knickers bag from Fourecks

I put an Ephebian puzzle (no picture, just a wooden puzzle) and a book

which turned out to be hollow (well, would Dibbler really publish his recipes?). Inside there was an Ookmark

authentick dwarf bread (the Low King's favorite!)

a Perdita bracelet that Agnes Knitt (yeah, I know I'm not the only one to come up with that pun...)

and Igor, complete with detachable limbs.


Other than the puzzle, there were also an assortment of Klatchian teas and a CD of music with rocks in it from Uberwald, titled "The Turtle Moves" (I just finished reading "Small Gods"), which didn't make the photoshoot.

Generally, I do not believe in swapping for the same theme more than once, but I do feel there may well be more Discworld crafting in me for the next round, whenever that it...

While I once tried to knit a Perdita for my partner, I never once thought of that pun! 

I'm still snickering about the Ookmark.


ETA: Discworld swaps are really the only swaps I do because of the insane amount of stuff you can do within the theme.
