I love your hat so much that I casted on one of my own in worsted weight.  I'm sooo ready for a pattern because I'm about an inch away from the decreases and I'm too lazy and not talented enough to figure out the decreases.

i've been trying to use the trinity stitch for a hat too  Cheesy-- but sadly, mine is not cooperating. are you doing yours like p3tog, k1,p1,k1 into next stich (repeat) and then a purl row? thats what im doing, and it hasn't turned out nearly as good as yours   Undecided

Are you knitting it in the round? If so, you need to do a knit row instead of purl row. Also the p3tog should be staggered every other row so the bobbles aren't all lined up, but maybe you're doing that already. I hope that helps! I love this pattern, and I think it's great for a hat.  Smiley

So is anyone trying out the pattern yet? I think I might knit a second one of these to make sure the pattern is good... I'd love to hear what others think!

Also-- I'm now on Ravelry! Yay!! I'm just getting my sea-legs, but it's overwhelmingly fantastic.

I really want to, but don't have the needles for it!  And no money to get needles right now!   Angry

I thought about trying to do it with the size needles I have on hand, but I've never done trinity stitch so don't know anything about adjusting the number of stitches.

I don't know why but the top-down view makes me think of blueberry pie... Great hat!

I adore this hat and have started one today. So far, so good, though I'm only on the 3rd row of the trinity stitch. I'm using Encore chunky in black, and now that it's getting really cold here in Chicago, I need it NOW! Great job!

I made your hat!  I love it.  The pattern was fine except as you mentioned I started the K2tog decreases sooner.  I did it on a car trip to NYC and the first time a wore it a hippie guy on the street said "nice hat" to me.  I used Karabella Aurora bulky in eggplant.  2.5 skeins.
