My husband's cousin is getting married tomorrow, and as usual, I'm making another towel cake. (This seems to be my specialty now, not that I mind.) I'm unsure of her colors, but getting married in fall I went with mums and stuff. If nothing else, it's festive!

Enjoy!

How fun!  How do you attach the flowers?

Well on this one the 'drape' of flowers is a chain, and I just stuck pins (the ones with the colored pearly ends) through leaves to get the chain to stay in place. And on the top I just cut the bunch with the stems long enough to stick through the wrapped part, they go down far enough that they won't move, and if she wanted to use them later on for a display or whatever, they would have long enough stems to sit in a vase, stick in a wreath, or whatnot. I try to do this with all the cakes with various degrees of success. Does that make sense? If not I could take a picture of the top with the flowers in the folds.

Thanks for the kudos carrieme and jolliebell!

I'd be the one to have one too many and go up and try to taste the "icing" on it. Har har!

Thank you so much to everyone that has replied!

DaisyAlly, she called me a few days later and said she wasn't going to take it apart until after Thanksgiving. She loved the fall colors so much!
