This is Spino, also from Patons Dinosaur book. I knit him in the round when I could (head gusset flat) and parts of his body was knit flat so that I could insert and sew in his lovely fin. The fin is a knitted oval that was folded in half, then sewn, then felted.

He was a PITA to put together -- many many small fiddly pieces. But I did only have to seam together 23 pieces, verses the original 26!

His eyes? Since I have 2 smallish children, I opted to use a hole punch on stiffened felt, then to hand sew the eyes on using black thread.

The stuffing? well, I used 1.5 big bags of stuffing to get him to stand up on 2 feet.

Life isn't complete 'til you crochet a uterus for a friend.  Just make sure your fallopian tubes point down and not up! No one needs to lose an eye this way! Wink

I love personal swaps for small stuff (including Hershey Kisses!)! PM me for happy fun rockin' good times!

Oh, sorry, I meant that he stood on his two feet. Spino is actually 1 foot 8 inches tall (still pretty big). And all those fiddly pieces? I did manage to lose his nostrils and remade them (only to find them again). And somehow, I have two extra claws?!

I'm supposed to make T-Rex next...
