I wish I could sew halfway decent, then my kids could have had blankets as awesome as that! I love the fabric and the trim.

Great idea!! I just got back from JoAnn's with some flannel & satin binding, after seeing your idea. But how do you do the corners? I've never bound a blanket, or used satin binding.. thanks Smiley

That fabric rocks!  Might just be the most awesome baby blanket I've seen!

Thanks everyone!!!  I noticed there's another easy baby blanket post on here that has directions for mitered corners.. it's on this specific board.  My mom went to the Joanns down where she lives today and bought me some anti-pill fleece in pink with purple skulls.. can't wait to see what that looks like!  My husband thinks its kind of weird having skulls on baby stuff, but comeon!  Skulls are in fashion and they're PINK!!! Cheesy  My 5 yr old daughter got jealous of the baby blanket so I had to make her a skirt with the leftover fabric.. I'll post that on the sewing for kids forums in a little bit.

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for the great idea! It was my first time using the blanket binding and it was actually pretty simple. Isn't that flannel adorable? $1.75/yard on clearance- Yes!!
