Square-bottomed canvas bucket :: Now with TUTORIAL::

I made these buckets from the tutorial but forgot to post them here.  They were in the "curse word swap" and let me tell ya, I said plenty of curse words when I realized that I had stitched the labels UPSIDE DOWN!  THREE times!
My mom said that would make interesting hats.

But I got over it and sewed a handle to the opposite side so partner could decide which to present to visitors.

Cute buckets! They would be great for yarn and fabric storage. Or a couple of small ones by the door for keys and sunglasses or a couple of big ones in the winter for hats and gloves!

Can you tell I have a thing for pretty storage containers! It really is a sickness, it is nearly to the point that my husband has started to comment, you know like they do when you bring home more fabric or yarn  .

Oh! I just thought of the perfect place for one! If I could figure a cover for one then I could make a new box for all of the ipod and phone chargers! I keep them all in a decorative box near the computer desk. Thanks for the inspiration!

I can think of so many uses for this such as for storage on shelves, as opposed to lined wicker baskets.  I will be using this tutorial, I think.

You got me hooked!! I made a box for my lil one glasses, as she keeps putting them anywhere but where they should be... She just loves it!! I made it rectangular, with a small heigh. And I top stitch the sides, to keep the shape...



I also made a 20cm x 20cm box, following this wonderdful and addicting tutorial... I don't have a pic right now, as my APN batteries just died... I will edit later today

i just finished mine. will use it to store all the knitting stuff for my current projects: tape measure, knitting needles, yarn, stitch holders, hooks to rescue dropped stitches, needlebook etc…

I love the way yours turned out. You made really good fabric choices and it looks super professional. I wish I had some of these to store my knitting in but my sewing skills arent the greatest.
