I'm attending a university Halloween party and we have to dress up as something that begins with the letter of the block we live in.
I live in Block J and can't think of anything!
I would be extremely grateful for any help... please keep in mind that I only have a week, so anything too hard to make/ get hold of is not so good.

Bring a jump rope.

Put bandages on your head, carry a bucket, and say you are Jill. May work better if you can find a guy to be Jack.

Glue random items to your shirt and be a junkyard.

Hmm, if you're at university now then y'all are probably too young to remember Jem:

I would go as a junkie. Pretty easy to do - skanky clothes, draw some track marks on with lipliner, walk around with a belt tied round your arm. Too much?

Er, a jack-o-lantern, if you want to be Halloween-y. Though we just call those pumpkins here...

A journal - just write angsty poetry all over a white tshirt.

Oooh, Jack the Ripper!

I'll have a think about it.

Paint your skin yellow and go as (someone with) Jaundice?
White/black striped shirt (and pants if possible) and go as a Jailbird?
All one color with a pillow stuffed in your shirt - as a Jellybean?
Wear a bedsheet toga and a blindfold and go as Justice (like in the statue)?

Shall try to think of more later, this is fun!

I love the junkie idea (nothing is "too much" for my taste though).

How about... Jesus?  White, flowing robe, sandals, crown of thorns.  This may be in the too much category...

A Jack-in-the-Box?  A cardboard box around your body with the rest of you popping out... or VARIANT, Jack from Jack in the Box.  Wearing a giant paper mache head may become uncomfortable though.

She is truly, truly, truly outrageous. My vote is for Jem.

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

You could get something with the skull and crossbones and go as the Jolly Roger.
maybe as a Jerry Springer guest?
maybe get a red sparkly dress and go as Jessica Rabbit?

2 more months till little Emmalyn makes her debut. So nervous but just can't wait Smiley

go as Jailbait and dress in a prisoner outfit
go as a jelly fish
the joker from batman
be the month of july and wear shiny flasky red white and blue with lots of glitter and carry sparklers (heh I might do that next year...I was conceived on July 4th  Wink)

A jewel would be cool.  I know I wouldn't mind the opportunity to get sparkled and glittered from head to toe.

Other ideas: June bug, Judy Garland... ( I like the Jessica Rabbit suggestion as well)

Oh or maybe a June bride?
Juno (similar to Hera)
Jackrabbit? or Jack-a-lope?
or Johnny the Homicidal Maniac?
