...and it's not pink! I love having girls, but I'm soooo sick of pink. :oP

Simplicity 9148, size small, the sizes run HUGE. I love this pattern, it's super easy and quick to make stuff like this. Now she's gonna be all stylin' when we go fishing today. :-)

That is so cute! I love the material you used. I know how you feel about the pink. I went through the same thing with my daughter, and with blue for my boys.

This is adorable, and I know what you mean! I know lots of moms who go with purples/greens instead of pinks.

1. I like black for all babies.
2. Is it easy to get on and off? My little avatar screams bloody murder and flails when I put anything on him, and he doesn't have any winterwear aside from a ginormous puffy snowsuit.

Yes, the mittens fold back. I love them because my little one has recently discovered her hands and thinks they need to be in her mouth every waking moment of the day. :-)

It is pretty easy to get on and off - as easy as any sleeper. The pattern comes with another type of sleeper that has two zippers on it - one on each side. It looks like it would be even easier and quicker to maneuver if you needed it. I can't say enough good things about this pattern, it's seriously so flippin' easy to follow, and really really quick to make. After you get the zipper in, it's about 15 minutes of sewing.
