So I was watching Ugly Betty the other day, & they had these cute-ass ghostie fairy lights.. with little plastic ghosts over the lights? & I was wondering if anyone could give me a link to a place that sells themed fairy lights, or has any tips on how I could safely make little things to fit over my lights like that? Is it even possible to do it safely?

I don't know where you live, but here in Ohio you can find them at any of the Halloween stores, Party Stores, WalMart, Target, etc.

Or you could DIY them with interfacing and regular fairy lights.  Just make little Charley Brown "sheet" ghosties over each bulb,. Make a ball of clear cellophane over the bulb for the head and cover with a square of interfacing.  Secure the neck with a rubber band, and voila.
I've seen Martha Stewart dissect silk flowers and use the petals as light backers/shades too.  She just slipped the bulb through the center hole.
