- Does not have any negative feedback: YESDetails of swap: This designed to be a quick swap that will net you hand embroidered patches from 3-5 different people.
You will receive a PM with the questionnaires for the people you are making patches for, feel free to communicate with them. When you finish a patch we hope you will post an image of it. However, you don’t have to reveal who it is for so it will still be a surprise for the recipient. Once your partner receives they are welcome to identify the design they received. When you receive you must PM the organizer AND the sender. Each person who you are making a patch for will be making one for you too.
You are required to post in the gallery or the original thread at least once a week after the start of the swap to keep us apprised of your progress. If you do not post weekly or apprise your organizer of your progress I will advise your partners to hold off sending. If you state in your questionnaire that you wish to be part of a big group you may have 4 or 5 partners if you state in your questionnaire you wish to be part of a small group you may have 3 or 4 partners.
It is always nice to pick a design with your partner in mind

The unfinished (open back) patch specifications are as follows minimum size is 3” by 3” maximum is 10” by 10”. They can be on felt, quilting cotton, denim or twill. If you are using fabric that frays you should include a minimum ¼” seam allowance all around the patch or square (ie the 10” max square would then be 10 1/2”). Additionally, if you are using fabric with a grain it is strongly recommended you align your design with the grain of the fabric. Remember your partner can always trim your patch but your design could be rendered useless if it is too close to the edge of the patch.
Since the patches are light and small they should all fit nicely into an envelope that can be mailed relatively inexpensively. Each design should be signed or tagged with your screen name. Consider carefully if you have the time to complete the patches before signing up. If you send patches to all your partners on time you will receive positive feedback once they arrive. Tracking does not have to be used but if your item does not arrive you will need to resend in order to receive positive feedback. Postal receipts should be kept and photographs are also recommended.
Additionally, it is a good idea to put the patches in a plastic bag before putting them in the envelope to ship in order to protect the fabric from the ravages of shipping.
