Fabric is taking over my house!

I just spent a few hours making this adorable tote. A woman at work wants to give some to her nieces for christmas, so I made this as a sample.



I love this strawberry fabric! It's a thin cotton, and the plain pink is canvas. On the one side I appliqued a large strawberry and the other side, a small strawberry and a ladybug. This is also my first zippered pocket! It was easier than I thought.



Here is a closeup of the strawberry applique (it came out better than the other side...)



Please let me know what you think! I hope she likes this one so I can make her a few more.

super cute! i haven't done a zippered pocket yet, but i've been thinking about them a lot lately and i think i could figure it out...thanks for confirming that they're not so scary!! looking forward to seeing what you'll be sewing this weekend at our first sewing "club" meeting! Cheesy
