I found a disposable camera that had been lying around for about a year and it happened to contain pictures from last year's Halloween party.  My husband is Dr. Acula (we're both big Scrubs fans) and I am his victim/nurse.

I made my dress by tracing a shirtdress I had bought at Target and improvised the hat from scraps of the dress fabric.  I ordered a labcoat from a scrubs supply catalog and had Dr. Acula embroidered on it.

Hello, wanted to share this costume idea since it is getting closer to the time. Smiley It was super easy to make. Hubby actually did it himself while I worked on our other daughters costume. It was made from an old flannel sheet, cut in the pattern of a basket ball. We sewed a tube in the middle of the ball and then stuffed it with old grocery bags. Smiley
The iris and pupil are made from an old flying disk toy. Kind of like a frizzbee with the middle cut out.
Then we took four pairs of red tights and made the veins coming from her bottom like a tail and then the cap on her head.
It was a HUGE hit trick or treating. All night long she heard...."Oh my God, she's an eyeball !!!"

Strangely enough it was her idea. No princesses here.

Hope you enjoy

That costume is awesome. My boy wanted to go as Kirby (from the video game) You think that your method would work for that?

Totally, it was sooo easy to do. Maybe three hours worth of work. You make a giant ball and then before your close the ends, cut the arm hole and hem them. Then sew a big tube for you little one to be in. Sew that in the middle of the ball. Stuff with what ever you have and then close up the ball around the top and bottom of the tube.
This would even be cool as Mike from Monsters Inc
