I made this for an aunt of mine who, having fought breast cancer two years ago, has now been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and the hipbones. She's the optimistic type and manages to be really supportive towards her husband. I made her this journal to maybe write down some thoughts or to have other people write something in it for her when they visit her at the hospital... or for whatever she wants to use it for.
I used dried leaves from the vine growing on our house that I feel go really well with the poem by Robert Frost (Two roads diverged in a yellow wood...)

I am so sorry to have read about your aunt.  That is truly awful news.  The book is a wonderful idea, especially for others to write their thoughts in it.  I wish her well as can be.

When I make a mess something good always comes from it.

The journal for you aunt is beautiful.  I made a journal for myself during a crisis, the notes my kind friends lifted my spirits - and still do.  I wish you, your aunt and uncle confort.  You are very thoughtful and supportive.  I'm sure you are a blessing to your family.
