So I plastered my room with magazine photos back in the summer before junior year, and recently I have found them a little impersonal.  I printed up a few stencils and now my room has at least a little more personality. Without further ado, stencils:

My own stencil, inspired by Animal Collective's "peacebone"

Lips, right near my light switch

Two purple birds kissing, because it's cute

A silver and gold metallic paint heart that was farrrr too difficult

A zebratard (1/2 zebra, 1/2 eagle, 1/2 pig, making it an improper fraction. Demetri Martin reference)

And, finally, red rabbits (I swear, they are red), inspired by the Shins' "Red Rabbits"

Thanks for looking, comments appreciated

Cute! Lols at the zebratard!  Grin (Dimitri Martin is awesome!!) What did you cut the stencils on? I've thought about doing this in my dorm room, but I'm not sure if wall paper will come off...  Undecided

What did you cut the stencils on?

Well, I cut the stencils using freezer paper (or sometimes I use wax paper because I find it easier to work with) on an old board of a bookshelf I took apart.  I painted directly on my walls using acrylic paints and my mom said she would paint over them later if she didn't like them, but it seems like you'd need a lot of paint to cover up such bold colors.  I hope that answered your question.

Wow, I love the rabbits and the kissing birds! Where did you get the stencils for them? Great way to personalize a room.

http://www.kittybuttons.com/stencils/categories/index.html that place had a ton of great stencils, or you can just type in anything, followed by "cartoon" or "drawing" into google to get a pretty decent stencil. Thats how i got the rabbits.  I took two pictures from google to make the peacebone.  But otherwise, check out that site, because thats where I got the heart, lips, and birds.
