My swap partner received today so I can share my La Catrina doll I made.  The head and arms are made of polymer clay, plain white with faux finishes and ink details.  I used a mold I made from a toy skull.  This is the first time I made a doll like this and I'm really proud of her, think I'll make more.

Very cool (bet your swapee was surprised and amazed!), and way to go on the mold.  Love the clothing too.

She is absolutely gorgeous!  You did a fantastic job!  The faux finishes and details on her face and dress and hat..everything about her is just perfect!

Does she have, er... anything under her dress that's connecting her head and arms?  Or, are they affixed to the dress somehow?

She has a simple wire armature connecting her neck and arms to a small cloth bag filled with rice under the dress...pretty simple...and not too pretty, lol.  If I do this again I'll come up with something a little more sturdy.

Oh, ok, thank you.

It's nice to know that she has a little rice in her belly.  She is kinda pushing the boundaries of "fashionably thin, a wee bit!  Grin
