Here's an outfit I recently made for a design group challenge the theme being "games".  There was much gnashing of teeth because of beginner sewer mistakes...one after the other but finally it is done!  Here's Miss Monkey Mae showing it off:

I can tell you this...it'll be a while before I do this again.  Sewing for pleasure is just that...much more pleasureable!

Both pieces are adorable, but the pants are extra charming.  I bet it really is a pleasure to sew for such a cute little monkey!

This is funny.  I used to be a member of Boutique Rascals (love those gals!) but had to leave due to some personal stuff at home.  I always take a peek at their acutions and I saw this outfit!  I am in LOVE with it.  I am trying to convince hubby that our little one needs it.  LOL

I got it off of ebay.  I can't remember the "brand"...something like timeless treasures...but don't quote me on that! Search "mah jong" and fabric and it'll come up.  It warms my heart to hear of grandmas and mah jong. I actually wanted to get a hold of some tiles to make some jewelry or hair thingys to go with it - - but didn't have the time or energy at that point.

They are a great group of women - many of them craftsters-worthy (meaning sardonic enough for my taste!). Keep working on your husband! Wink
