Since Teddie's Birthday is on Halloween day I had to take my little baby and do something special.  I no longer trick or treat, but these contests they have at PetSmart are perfect for him.

I make all of his clothes and this time I made him into a little China man...  It was cheaper than buying an outfit and is nothing like you find in any shop.

Since the Shih Tzu is native to China this was the best choice.
Now that he's gotten his hair cut it's going to look even better.  I don't have any pictures with his hair cut and in the costume, but will try any post some later.

These will have to do for now Wink

If you don't win then the contest is fixed!  That's so detailed and appropriate, so clever and different that you can't miss.  Thanks for sharing!

That is absolutely adorable, incredibly detailed, (and I have a huge soft spot for both dogs and brocade...)

And he looks so comfortable in it.  When we had a dog, she would sit still just long enough for the camera, with the most pitiful expression on her face, and then rip off whatever was put on her.  (usually those crappy stuffed reindeer antlers at Christmas)

He has such a short attention span I'm surprised I got any good shots.  Plenty of treats were in hand and we made it as quick as we could!! I'm kind of getting nervous the close tomorrow gets.  I'm just hoping to get the little charm that is listed for the first 100 dogs that come through the doors that are dressed up.

I can only hope lol. Tongue

Not to sound like a sore looser, but tonight was just horrible!  The judge was a trainer and she picked the same people over and over and they were dogs in her class.   Angry

Teddie seems to of had a lot of fun.  He's worn out and ready for bed tonight.  It was fun making the outfit, but a waste of time taking him up there.  I gues it's a lesson learned right?   Roll Eyes

Take care everyone and thanks for all of the wonderful feedback!  At least I know some people like his costume. Grin

Hi
Well just so you know I don't often comment on the stuff people make for their pets but I just couldn't resist with Teddy, I just thought it was absolutely perfect for his personality and it was so well done, plus he has such a sweet face.  I hate losing when I know how much work I've put into something, but sometimes people are just well you know....

Give Teddy an extra treat for me(and my BF 'cause he thought Teddy was super cute too!)
