this was my very first quilt and i got in way over my head!  it's really not that good, but i like all the fabirc and i'm accepting that it's okay that it's not great because it was the first one i did and i'm better now.  a learning experience!  i made it for my boyfriend as a bedspread.  it's hard to get a good picture because it's almost as big as the his whole studio apartment!  the back side is black.  i just did little X's to hold it together.  enjoy!

Oh that is way cool. The fabrics are fabulous, and so is the layout/design. What a lucky boyfriend you have!

I love how you put it together. It looks random, but still organized. I bet your boyfriend loves it!

You know what Zomb?  You MADE a QUILT!  That is awesome.  It IS good.  And I love the idea that you used X's, gonna steal that for myself!  Take a look at "The Quilts of Gee's Bend: Masterpieces from a Lost Place" book.  That quilting community did not rely on taught methods or concise patterns, they just picked up what they saw and used what they had and made it.  Your adventurous spirit reminds me of that.  Be proud of yourself!
