are they stretchy?
Also - how did you figure out how many stiches around to do?

but either way, I love them! Especially the metallic one

No, they're quite solid.  I just chained as many as I needed to wrap around my finger.

Glad you like them Smiley

Those are really awesome.  Do you think doing a double base chain would make it easier?

I've made a few that I haven't posted. I'm trying different stitches to see what I like best, though I realized that size 11/12 hook is too small, so I'm waiting for the larger hooks I ordered to arrive before I make rings that anyone would want to wear. Anyway, after my first one, starting wasn't hard at all. And the first one probably wouldn't have been hard, either, if it wasn't for the fact that I haven't crocheted in over 10 years!  Shocked I haven't tried starting with double base chain, but I don't mind regular base chain. I also tried the magic ring, but I wasn't crazy about it - though it'll be handy for things you want to be flat instead of tubular like a ring. Hope this helps!

I absolutely had to get over my fear of crocheting on a small scale and try these things and I'm happy to say that it was loads easier than I expected. I did the double base chain that happened to be explained in the new Nov/Dec Crochet Today magazine that I picked up (btw, that magazine is loaded with super cute stuff and I can't wait to get started on the jacket!) and it made the ring much easier than trying to crochet into a chain...Anyways, here's mine. I picked up some super cute mini gingerbread boy buttons so I can make a bunch for Christmas gifts...
