Well...here it is!  She ordered it and I finished it!  This bag has a cell phone pockets and two other pockets.  There's a tie detail on the strap and is attached with very large silver/metal O-rings that I repurposed from another purse I got at a yard sale!  (I get most of my purse hardware this way)  On to the pictures...

Up close of the front...

Inside view with cell phone pocket, etc...and snap closure per what the sister ordered. Smiley

Enjoy looking...I enjoyed making it.

Very nice!  I get a lot of my hardware from old bags too.  I had to comment on this because my sister and I call each other seester too!  Grin

Did you use a pattern or tutorial? I love the shape and size of the bag.

Ok, I sort of used a pattern/tutorial for this bag.  I found this hobo bag tutorial a while back and forgot to print off the template for the pattern, so when I went to do the bag, I didn't have the pattern for it, just the directions.  So, I made my own pattern for the pieces, similar to the one in the directions, and used the directions to put the bag together.  The shape of the hobo back is different but not too much.  Here's a link to the tutorial...

Thanks for the compliments.  I gave her the bag today and she really liked it. Smiley  Happy she did...

I love the pattern on the material!  Where did you find this at?

this fabric is from Joann's...regular 100% cottton calico material.  I found it at a larger Joann's if that helps.
