I love Amelie and I love these shoes!  I am uber-jealous.  Does the Sharpie hold up well?  Did you seal the shoes somehow?

I havent worn them out of the house yet but i think the sharpie will be ok. a few months ago i wrote my name on the bottom of those same shoes and it didnt wear off, so I didnt think sealing them would be necesary. it'd probably be a good idea just incase anyways.

OH I love Amelie as well...why not put gnomes on the side...or something to that effect...that is such a great movie that when my husband and I went to Euro-land in 2002, we bought a gnome in Switzerland and now have pictures of him with us on our euro-land vacation...so sweet!

Sweet ass shoes! great job, make sure and post a pic when you decide to finish the shoes with...although I think they look perfect the way they are.

good job

I think it would be really neat to decoupage ripped up bits of photos to the sides... Then you can clear nailpolish/modgepodge over the whole thing, which might take care of any worries of the sharpie wearing off.

AAH! Those are awesome! I love Amelie as well. One of the best movies ever. You should seal the shoes, sharpie does wear off after a while, sadly!

Like I said, I'm a big fan of the clear nailpolish.  But I guess it depends on what the shoes are made of.  Are they fabric or leather?
