This is actually my second Unbiased, I knit the first with banana yarn and ran out after three panels and the e-bay seller has no more...yet!

This is recycled sari silk (again from e-bay). I added a triangular panel on each side as the bag was too shallow for me otherwise. I have yet to line it.  Pattern:

The lil bag is made from yarn and a pattern I got from brondesjen in the recent MYB 6. Pattern:

These were both super easy knits, recommended for beginners, although the K-Chan was a bit of PITA as I had to use DPNs. in future I'd cast on more stitches and use a 16" circular.   This felted in the washing machine at 60 degrees.

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

Thanks rjbuthead.  bruisinraincloud I hope your daughter does pick up the knitting bug!  I think it's great that kids get into knitting and that they know that they can make something cool.
