Alright 'nilla where are the pics? We're dying here for some yarny goodness! *pokes*

I sent today I can't wait!

On another note I found out our one friend with woodworking skills is trying to make me a wheel for Christmas! I sent him the directions for the little great wheel (i think) from interweave and I really hope he can get it done. Smiley If not I will survive but it could very well be the only way I get a wheel for a long time unless I find one at a thrift store or something.

I have pics, I swear! I just keep forgetting to upload them... And now I cant find my camera. Seriously, could I be any more disorganized? Well, at least i started the crochet challenge and the poll for the spinalong.. thats something, right?

Eliea, that is ao awesome! I would love it if I had a friend who had woodworking skills. Maybe I can convince the boyfriend...

All right since you did some "moderator-y" things I'll let you off the hook for now. Wink

I was trying to convince the hubby to learn so it could be a man project but he's just not interested. which is fine since I can probably convince him to buy me fiber or crochet books for Christmas instead. Smiley

one kid at the sitters, one asleep on my lap, so I post.  Grin
My package was perfectly timed, it came on a day when my car broke down twice, ended up at the mechanics, and both the husband and I ended up sick. As the Yarn Harlot says, here, look at some wool.

My pile of happiness. Clockwise from the right, 24 yrds of a bulky teal merino. 250 yrds total of a green and red corridale. And 90yrds of recycled sweater yarn, dyed with koolaid! The red and green corridale are both just gorgeous. No really. I'm still petting them and trying to decide what they will be. Maybe after the holidays. 8-)
And Eliea threw in a surprise for my two munchkins. Sock monkeys! I could have cried from the sweetness. Ok and from the cuteness, I will admit. I've never seen a sock monkey in real life, and I suddenly understand.
The monkeys got munches of approval from both kids, though I only have picts of one.

Ok, I'm gonna have a moment here. THIS is why I craft. THIS is why I swap. My husband gives me grief sometimes about time spent on packages. But then I show him things like this. Someone who has never met me or my kiddos was willing to make me yarn, go an extra mile and throw in extra yarn and some toys for my kids. It restores my faith in humanity and helps me get through the day. So, I'll spend my time making things for other folk. Hopefully they love the things I send as much as I do.
Oh, ok, sorry about that deviation. Back to your reg sched program.  Grin
Thanks Eliea!!

Wow!  Shocked I 've been completly spoiled by red_willow!  THANK YOU!!  Sorry it has taken me a while to post, and unfortunately I can't upload my pictures since my home modem is dying and uploading takes forever!!  I will try and go to the library and upload this week so you all can see the gorgeous yarn and goodies.

She sent some amazing handspun merino in a gorgeous red "mojave" colorway. ( 300+ yards!!)  to make a mini clapotis plus:
-extra mojave roving
-some faux cashmere roving
-buffalo fiber
-tencel roving
-lots of german candy and tea( this might not make it for the photo shoot Wink)
-handmade soap and candles
-a lavender sachet
all together wrapped up like a magic ball inside of a handmade one skein project bag she made!!

WOW!!

She went over the top!

THANKS!!!

Thank you fyberduck!
I received this beautiful superwash sock yarn:

With it came some pretty needles in a size I really did not have - and my first set of coloured ones, too!

I just have to finish a pair of X-mas gift socks, and then I'm ready for some handspun beauty... Cheesy

Grin Yay finally got mine from maziemama thanks so much. Between the postoffice sending it back, christmas and customs (they opened and resealed the box, who knew yarn could be dangerous!) I got the box and they really battered the tar out of it so I am glad there was nothing breakable. I got some lovely handspun yarn that was going to be a hat but it is so pretty that it might become a baby sweater for some good friends of ours who would love it. Some really pretty roving
Where did you get that roving I would love some more?
and some hot coco and the Holiday knits mag that I hadn't picked up yet! yay!
thanks so much!

The postman finally relinquished the yarn Snowberrylime spun for me, yesterday:

- 2 skeins "Missy Piggy" (peach/ violet Australian lambswool) - I wound 'em together so I won't lose one Grin
- 2 skeins "Waldboden" (greens wool/ silk)
- 1 hank of painted silk roving
- and some yummy chocolate that's disappearing rapidly

Thank you, Snowberrylime!
