I'm not sure if anyone has posted this :
but it's a grand picture

Fashion, art, friends, life....

God's thunder spits fire...and sends the oak trees dancing, a wild dance, whirling; the pelting rain strips their branches. We fall to our knees-we cry out, "glory".

Dolores...You're an inspiration, a marvel... I mean. Wow. I don't know how to express it. I've looked through a few pattern books, and always become dis-heartened by the "oldness" the "sameness" of the patterns. It turned me off sewing for several years. However, your patterns add flair and style, individuality to a world of pop culture and idolisation of the same old. I take my hat off to you, oh darling faery of the pattern making world. I hope that one day, I can achieve what you have; funky, awesome designs, that call to the creative child in all of us.

So, Delores, is your site launched yet?  I don't know about the rest of the Snicket Obsessors, but after seeing your coat pattern, I'm drooling on myself waiting to see the rest!

Like everyone else, I spent the ENTIRE 3 times I watched the movie trying to figure out how Violet's costumes were put together.  I adore cloaks, but unfortunately they're not very practical in my uber-windy, rainy, drenching area of the earth. Smiley  However, frock coats and Victorian and Edwardian walking coats are all QUITE useful Smiley

Anywho...updates?  Anyone made these yet?

Dolores, that pattern is gorgeous. But I can't find it on your site! Please tell me you're still selling it!

I don't know if anyone ever got the pattern for the coat. I pre-ordered it at the time, and after waiting a few months (they had quite a back order when they first started at Hotpatterns) was told that the file had been corrupted and was unuseable. At the time they hoped they would be able to make it available again, but they never did.

I emailed them and they said they didn't have it any more *sniff*
